Zafrany provides compassionate, expert patient advocacy and healthcare navigation support for individuals and families facing complex medical situations. Based in Portland, Oregon, Zafrany serves as your eyes, ears, and voice in the healthcare system — especially when family members cannot be present.
Healthcare today is often fragmented, rushed, and overwhelming. Patients and families are expected to absorb medical information, make high-stakes decisions, and coordinate care across multiple providers — often without support. Zafrany exists to bridge that gap.
Led by Gabby Ruimy, RN, Zafrany combines clinical expertise with calm, human presence. As a registered nurse and professional healthcare advocate, Gabby helps patients and families understand what’s happening, ask the right questions, and feel confident navigating care.

A Legacy of Care
Gabby Ruimy, RN
Zafrany begins with a name and the generations of love and devotion it carries.
Zafrany is a family name. Gabby Ruimy’s grandmother’s maiden name before she became Ruimy. When Gabby first heard it several years ago, she felt immediately drawn to it and knew she wanted to carry the name forward in some way as her own. It holds her Sephardic heritage, but even more than that, it holds her family.
Though her grandparents are no longer living, Gabby was shaped deeply by all four of them. She was raised within a large extended family, held by many hands, where love was expressed through responsibility, devotion, and deep respect across generations.
Zafrany carries that inheritance forward—honoring where she comes from and reflecting the same care, reverence, and commitment she extends to every family she is entrusted to serve.
